3 Years at WPRiders: My Journey of Growth, Reflections, and Key Learnings

Starting at WPRiders

I’m Alexandra, and I’ve just celebrated 3 years since joining WPRiders. These 3 years have been a journey of personal and professional growth.

I joined WPRiders as a QA Specialist 3 years ago. Soon after, the company promoted me to Recruitment Specialist, and I started to juggle both recruiting and testing roles. From day one, WPRiders gave me room to take on new challenges and duties. I had the chance to advance in my career while still having enough time for my family. The company never pushed me to work extra hours, and they always backed me up and recognized my hard work even when things got tough.

Work-Life Balance and Family Support

WPRiders stands out in its strong backing of work-life balance. In our team calls, my kid would sometimes pop up on screen, and everyone welcomed these moments showing they cared about my home life. When I got pregnant with my second child and had health issues, WPRiders gave me all the time I needed, no questions asked. How they treated me with such kindness during this tough time made me feel like I belonged. I knew I could always turn to my team when I needed help.

Coming Back with Added Duties

After my maternity leave ended, WPRiders promoted me to HR Manager and Administrative Manager. This bump-up showed how much the company trusted me. My new job lets me set up training programs, contests, and team-building events. I also get to mark important moments for my coworkers, like work anniversaries. These little things help create a positive tight-knit team where everyone feels important and valued.

Starting Fresh Projects: Newsletter and Inside.WPRiders.com

During these 3 years, WPRiders has always pushed me to take charge, and I’m proud of starting a monthly newsletter for IT pros and job hunters. As of now, this newsletter has grown to over 1.5k subscribers and has a pretty good 40% opening rate.

Also, I got the chance to build inside.instawp.xyz, a site where we put out tech articles, work-life content, and interviews with WordPress experts. It’s been great to see this site grow so we launched a new series, Ask the Expert. In this series, anyone can ask questions, and our team experts give practical helpful answers making the site even more interesting and useful for our readers.

Leading the DocsFromTemplate Project

One of the most rewarding projects in these 3 years I’ve worked on at WPRiders is DocsFromTemplate. The idea to create a plugin that generates documents came to me, and I pitched it to my boss. He didn’t just say yes; he gave me everything I needed—a coder, tester, time, and guidance. I ended up running this small project, which is now almost ready for launch. I’ll always appreciate the faith they showed in me to head up this effort. WPRiders made me believe I could turn my thoughts into real projects.

WPRiders: A Place to Grow and Innovate

What sets WPRiders apart is how they encourage and support everyone’s personal development. Whether you want to launch a new project step into a larger position, or find a good work-life balance, WPRiders gives you the room and confidence to thrive. I’m lucky to work in a place that values new ideas, pushes for growth, and cares about the community.

My 3 years at WPRiders have helped me grow both and all because of the amazing backing and chances the team provides. I’m honored to be part of a company that empowers you to take the lead on your ideas and carve out your own path.
